Athlete of the week achievement: Griak hit a walk-off, two-run home run -- her second of the game -- in a 9-8 win over West Shamokin. She also had a third hit and three RBIs in the game. Earlier in the week she doubled among her two hits and had three RBIs in an 11-3 win over River Valley, and she had two doubles and three RBIs in a 7-5 victory over Conemaugh Valley.
Season update: Griak is batting .583 with nine RBIs, three doubles and two home runs, and the Lady Highlanders are 4-0.
Coach Drew Thomas' quote: "She's been solid for us the last couple years and has really worked hard. She's been one of our leaders on and off the field. She came through clutch for us.
