Athlete of the week achievement: Blough was named MVP of the Curve Classic. He had three hits and an RBI in a 5-1 win over Hollidaysburg, went 2-for-3, scored three runs and knocked in two runs in a 19-15 victory over Latrobe and went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI in Altoona's 11-3 win over previously unbeaten Forest Hills in the championship game. Blough also had a bases-loaded, walk-off walk against Chambersburg earlier in the week and finished 1-for-3 with two RBIs in that 3-2 victory for the Mountain Lions.

Season update: Through seven games, Blough is batting .450 with seven RBI and five runs scored. Altoona is 5-4 as a team after its 4-0 week.
