Athlete of the week achievement: McMullen led the Red Devils to their second straight District 6 Class 2A team title by winning the 100-yard backstroke and finishing second in the 50-yard freestyle. He was also part of the winning 200 free relay and second-place 200 medley relay.

Season update: McMullen's top times are 58.11 seconds in the 100 backstroke and 22.63 in the 50 free.
