Athlete of the week achievement: Scarton scored 22 points and added 14 rebounds in a 70-59 victory over Juniata Valley in the District 6 Class 1A semifinals. Earlier in the week, Scarton scored 29 points and had 11 rebounds for the Mustangs in an 82-62 win over Conemaugh Valley in the quarterfinals.

Season update: Scarton is averaging 12.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game for the 24-2 Mustangs, who will play Harmony in the District 6 Class 1A championship game Wednesday.

Coach Travis Kargo's quote: "Luke has been a kid with a lot of talent, and he's asserted himself, especially lately filling the hole with missing Andrew (Miko). He's done a great job for us. He's a kid that has worked hard over the years, and it's nice to see him have success, especially at this point of his career, because he's put the time in to get better."
