Athlete of the week achievement: Metzger caught a touchdown pass -- helping quarterback Jeff Hoenstine break the career state record mark for touchdowns thrown -- and also had an interception in the Scarlet Dragons' 35-6 victory over top-seeded Penn Cambria in the District 6 Class 3A championship game.

Season update: Metzger has 21 catches for 283 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season. He also has 27 tackles defensively.

Coach Dave Baker's quote: "He's been one of the guys that we have thrown passes to more and more as the season has gone on, and he's done a lot better in the secondary in coverage and tackling. We're depending on him to be one of our main receivers."
