Name: Aiden Lechleitner

School: Central Cambria

Athlete of the week achievement: Lechleitner finished ninth in the state in Class 1A in 17:30.4 and led the Red Devils to their first PIAA team championship a week after finishing as the runner-up at the District 6 meet.

Season update: He earned all-state status with his top-10 finish.

Coach Randy Wilson's quote: "This whole thing is a testament to Aiden. He let (not winning districts) go, because he knew there were bigger things on the horizon. He didn't dwell on it, and that's who Aiden is. He has a real even-keel attitude. He's a really great, kind and good-natured young man on top of being a great runner."
