Mirror Male Athlete of the Week: Trybus clutch for Highlanders

Athlete of the week achievement: Trybus rushed for 284 yards and three touchdowns on just 19 carries and caught one pass for a 46-yard touchdown in a 47-21 victory over West Shamokin.

Season update: Trybus has carried the ball 104 times for 1,092 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also leads the Highlanders in receiving with 11 catches for 425 yards and seven touchdowns.

Coach Jarrod Lewis quote: "Tanner knew he had to step up this week with Ty (Stockley) being out. He played not only for himself but also for Ty. Tanner has been very dynamic this year. He is our top runner, top receiver and has also thrown some very nice passes. Tanner is a great kid from a great family who has really worked hard to be as successful as he has."

How I got my start in football: "When I was younger, my dad encouraged me to play, and when I started playing tackle after third grade, I loved it from that point on."
