Athlete of the week achievement: Stitt battled back, down two strokes with three holes to play, and made a clutch putt on her 18th hole to secure the District 6 Class 3A individual high school girls golf championship and clinch a berth in the PIAA championships later this month.
Season update: Stitt was the top girls golfer in the Mountain League this season and was the medalist in all of her team's regular-season matchups.
Coach Jill Hileman's quote: "Ashden committed herself to improving several aspects of her game since last season, especially her short game and putting, as well as her mental game. All of those were big factors in her district championship match. She was behind early, but she kept a 'one shot at a time' mentality and was able to get back into the match. She hit some clutch chip shots and pressure putts over the last few holes to come back and win."
