Sport: Golf

Athlete of the week achievement: Meyers won the individual championship with a 74at the Omni Bedford Springs Invitational and helped Altoona win the team title. He also carded a 73 in a victory over Hollidaysburg, a team-best 75 against State College and shot a 79 to help Altoona place third in the Selinsgrove Invitational.

Season update: Meyers is averaging a score of 75.6 in five high school rounds so far this season, which also includes a 16th-place finish in the Class 3A boys field at the season-opening Happy Valley Invitational.
