Athlete of the week achievement: Long won the triple jump and long jump, plus was part of the winning 400 relay team at Bellefonte. At the Altoona Classic, she won the long jump, was part of the winning 400 relay team again and took second in the triple jump.

Season update: Long leads the Mirror coverage area in the track and field honor roll in the long jump, the triple jump, as well as the 400 relay.

Coach Paula Foreman's quote: "Brooke had a fantastic meet at Bellefonte. She finally jumped marks that we know she is capable of jumping. It gave her a lot of confidence moving forward as we head into districts. She is a very strong component of our team this year. Coming off states last year, there is a lot of pressure for her to perform and I think she is going to be ready. We are excited where she is right now headed into the end of the season."
