No. 3 singles player Julian Fisher came back from a 3-0 deficit in the second set to prevail, 6-3, 6-4. Wyatt Walls and Caden Harris also won in singles play for the Eagles.

Central tops DuBois

MARTINSBURG — The Central High School boys volleyball team is 2-0 after a 23-25, 25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 15-13 win over DuBois.

Christian Heuston had 33 kills for the Scarlet Dragons to go with 13 blocks from Lincoln Mauk and eight aces from Blake Reynolds.

Guilfoyle triumphs

The Bishop Guilfoyle Academy boys volleyball team won its first match of the season, beating Forest Hills, 25-19, 22-25, 27-25, 25-17, at the Pleasant Valley gym.

The Marauders got 17 service points, 14 digs and 10 kills from Karter Shall to go with 32 assists and 10 service points from Brenden Young. Griffin Chwatek contributed 17 kills and 11 service points.

Hollidaysburg sweeps

HUNTINGDON — The Hollidaysburg boys and girls swept a tri-meet on Tuesday in track and field with Bellwood-Antis and Huntingdon, with the Tiger boys beating B-A (89-61) and Huntingdon (85-64). The Blue Devils downed Huntingdon (88-62). On the girls side, Hollidaysburg won 76-74 over B-A and 105-45 over the Bearcats. B-A beat Huntingdon, 112-38.

Lady Tiger freshman Jaclyn Sahlaney won the 100-meter dash, 200 dash and long jump. Adalai Carney won the 800 and 1600 runs. The Bellwood-Antis girls on the 400 and the 3200 relays.

On the boys side, Bellwood-Antis’ Cameron Nelson won the 110 and 300 hurdles. The Tigers swept all three relay events.
