Great Commission Bears take third place, finish season at 19-1
HOLLIDAYSBURG — Elijah Best scored a game-high 23 points to lead Great Commission School to a 61-50 win over Blair County Christian in the third-place game of the Allegheny Christian Athletic Association boys basketball tournament at the Hollidaysburg Area Junior High on Saturday.
Alex Guise added 17 points for the Bears, who finished the season 19-1.
Jonathan Marucci led Blair County Christian with 19 points, and Aidyn Lundy added 18 points.

Papcun 10th
LEWISBURG — Portage junior Josh Papcun finished 10th in the 400-meter dash in 55.93 seconds at the Bison Last Chance Invitational on the campus of Bucknell University on Saturday in high school indoor track and field.
Senior Logan Gentile was 15th in the boys 3,000-meter run in 10:42.08.
Josephine White was 16th for the Portage girls in the 800 run in 2:38.58.
PSU Altoona 4th
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Penn State Altoona men’s swimming team placed fourth in the State University of New York Athletic Conference Championships, hosted at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center, Saturday.
The Penn State Altoona women’s team finished in fifth place out of nine teams.

WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. — The Penn State Altoona women’s wrestling team finished competing in the NCAA Women’s Wrestling Regional No. 2 Championships Saturday morning, hosted by West Liberty University.
The Lions scored 12.5 points throughout the tournament to place 13th out of 17 teams.
