PFN Coaches Select All-State Teams feature several local players
Several athletes from the Mirror’s core coverage area were selected to the Class 5A, 3A and 1A PFN Coaches Select All-State Teams, which were announced on Tuesday.
In 5A, Hollidaysburg’s Kayden McCrystal was picked as a first-team defensive back. Four Golden Tigers — Carter Muth (RB), Jackson York (OT), Joey Richardson (DE) and Cole DeLattre (P) — made the second team.
In Class 3A, offensive tackle Dayne Summerville, safety Grant Gides and offensive athlete Blake Lilly of Penn Cambria made the first team. Corbin Vinglish (LB), Logan Price (center), Matthew Eckenrode (OG) and Brady Jones (QB) made the second team from the Panthers.
Four Bishop Guilfoyle Academy players made the first team in Class 1A — Trenton Murphy (center), Justin Wheeler (return specialist), Rocco Cacciotti (DE) and Jake Kissell (offensive athlete). Juniata Valley’s Logan Harpster also made the first team as a noseguard.
Declan Peterson (DT), Carter Boland (P), Tyson Lestochi (DB) and Evan Schimminger (WR) made the second team for the Marauders.
Glendale’s Cameron Dreibelbis (WR) and Claysburg-Kimmel’s Mason Campagna (QB) also made the second team.
