SIDMAN -- Going into and coming out of halftime, Central Cambria coach Shane McGregor drew inspiration from a talk he heard from Navy SEAL Rick Slater when he was a quarterback for Penn State.
That was when he was introduced to the code from the military, Charlie Mike.
"It means continue mission in military talk," he said. "You don't say Charlie Mike whenever things are going good. You say it when things are going bad. That's all it is."
His defense, after being on the field for nearly seven minutes, came up with a goal line stand, and the Red Devils never looked back.
Hobbs Dill proceeded to score a touchdown from 73 yards out to help spark a 14-point third quarter en route to the Red Devils hanging on for a 28-22 win over Forest Hills Friday night at G.H. Miller Memorial Field in Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference action.
Dill finished the night with 217 yards on the ground on 18 carries with three touchdowns -- one on an interception return for a touchdown.
Plays of the game: Central Cambria's defense held Forest Hills at the 4-yard line going into the half and late in the third came up with a goal line stand.

Unsung heroes: The Red Devil defense managed to keep it together after giving up a touchdown following an onside kick recovery by the Rangers in the second quarter which gave them a 15-14 lead.
Most vital statistic(s): Central Cambria won despite allowing almost 500 yards of total offense to Forest Hills. The Red Devils had the only punt for the night.
McGregor: "Hobbs Dill is the wonder-boy man. He can do it all. He's got a great attitude. He is one of the best players I've ever coached. I'm so glad to have him on our team."
Forest Hills coach Justin Myers: "We left too many points on the field. Before the half, we had the ball at the 4-yard line, we didn't score. We had a couple of drives deep in their end, didn't score. You don't punt the whole game and score 15 points, that's a problem. It's my fault. They out-played us tonight and they won."
Dill on the Red Devil offensive line: "I love my (offensive) line. I'm going to probably buy them a steak dinner after this game. Great players, I love them all to death."
Notable: A moment of silence was held in honor of the 13 servicemen and women who died in the recent attack at the Kabul Airport. ... The Rangers had 22 first downs to the Red Devils 11. ... Ranger RB Damon Crawley racked up 199 yards on 18 carries and had one score.
