BC rifle falls short on tiebreaker

GALLITZIN — Meyersdale defeated Bishop Carroll, in high school rifle action at the Gallitzen Sportsmens Club Monday afternoon. Both teams finished regulation play at 1,245-1,245 but Meyersdale won, using an integer scoring system where anything 10.3 and above is noted and used as a tiebreaking value. The Red Raiders had the most Major 10s, also called an “inner” score in rifle competition. Karli Schoop led the Huskies with a 256, followed by Seth Cunningham’s 253.
