Notable: Williamsburg, which lost in last year's District 6 Class 1A final to Portage before making it all the way to the PIAA semifinals, has not won a District 6 title since 1997, the final of five straight championships. The Lady Blue Pirates also won a District 6 title in 1989 and in back-to-back years in 1984 and 1985. … Bishop Guilfoyle last won a District 6 title in 2021 when it went on to win the PIAA Class 1A championship. … The Lady Marauders won eight straight D6 titles from 2007-2014 until Blairsville stopped the streak in 2015. BG also won 1A districts in 1999 and 2001. It won 2A titles in 1979, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1995, 1996, 2005 and 2020. The Lady Marauders won 3A titles in 1985, 1986 and 1990. … The teams met in the regular season on Dec. 6, and Williamsburg came away with a 55-34 victory.

Notable: Harmony has never won a District 6 championship. Portage had never won a title, either, until winning the Class 2A crown the past two seasons. … The Owls won their semifinal game over Saint Joseph's in dramatic fashion. With less than a second on the clock, Saint Joseph's celebrated what it thought was a win over Harmony but was whistled for a technical foul for players coming onto the court after already receiving a bench warning. The Owls made one of two to get within one and the ball, and Anthony Maseto threw a lob to Jack Bracken, who knocked it in to give Harmony the win in a controversial ending. … Bracken is averaging 23.1 points per game, and Cohlton Fry is averaging 20.2 points per game. … Lucas Tarnow plays football for Glendale. … Andrew Miko, a 1,000-point scorer for Portage, is out for the rest of the season with a wrist injury.
