WINGATE — Damon Gripp scored 31 points, Jake Taylor added 12 points and Landen DeHaas chipped in with 10 as Tyrone throttled Bald Eagle Area, 76-25, in high school boys basketball action on Saturday.

Tyrone went undefeated in Mountain League play to claim the league title.

Portage falls in final

WINDBER — Berlin Brothersvalley used a 13-2 advantage from beyond the arc to pull away from Portage, 76-58, in the WestPAC championship game on Saturday.

Elijah Sechler scored a game-high 36 points for the 22-1 Mountaineers.

Preston Rainey led the Mustangs, who will enter the District 6 Class 2A playoffs as the No. 2 seed, with 25 points. Kaden Claar added 12 points for Portage.
