Central’s Lynn has busy week

Name: Lacey Lynn

Grade: Junior

Sport: Softball

Athlete of the week achievement: Lynn had 10 strikeouts and allowed two hits in a complete-game shutout of Westmont Hilltop in a game Central won, 1-0. She was also the winning pitcher with nine strikeouts in a 5-2 win over Chestnut Ridge and tripled in that game. She had two hits and four RBIs in a 17-0 win over Somerset, and she had two hits and an RBI in a 13-3 win over Bishop McCort.

Season update: Lynn is batting .579 with 28 RBIs, four home runs, three triples and two doubles for the 11-1 Lady Dragons.

How I got my start in softball: "When I was about 6, my dad told me about it, and I wanted to play. I went to 10U right away, because my dad thought I was good enough."
