Tucker’s lawyer offers up defense

The Associated Press Mel Tucker’s attorney said Monday that Michigan State does not have cause to fire its suspended football coach because Tucker did not “engage in unprofessional or unethical behavior” when he had phone sex with an activist and rape survivor who the university paid to speak to his team. Brenda Tracy, the activist and survivor, said Tucker sexually harassed her during the phone call in April 2022. Several months later, Tracy filed a complaint with the school’s Title IX office. The Associated Press College Football Playoff managers will meet this week, but with the future of the Pac-12 still unsettled, it will be difficult to make a final decision on whether the number of places reserved for conference champions in the soon-to-be expanded field should be six or five. The Associated Press Colorado and Deion Sanders fell out of The Associated Press college football poll on Sunday after a resounding loss in one of the weekend’s showcase games, and the teams toward the top of the rankings were shuffled and tightened. PSU men’s basketball schedule starts Nov. 6

UNIVERSITY PARK — The upcoming Penn State men’s basketball non-conference and Big Ten schedule was recently released and it starts in early November. The Nittany Lions will have 17 home games. It begins on Monday, Nov. 6, at the Jordan Center where Penn State hosts Delaware State. The Nittany Lions then host back-to-back games against Lehigh (Friday, Nov. 10) and St. Francis, Pa.
