ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Penn State has lost four in a row after a 21-18 setback on the road at Michigan in front of 110,731 fans in the Big House.

Rocco Becht may have turned in his best 30 minutes of the season in the first half with a 15 for 19 half for 123 yards, but it only resulted in the Lions scoring three points as it held a 3-0 lead at halftime.

He had a below average second half, however, and finished the game going 28 for 44 with 267 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.

Chase Sowell had a huge day for the Lions, picking up 11 receptions for 151 yards and a score.

Michigan pulled struggling quarterback Bryce Underwood after halftime in favor of backup Tommy Carr, who is the grandson of legendary Wolverine coach Lloyd Carr. Underwood was just 5 of 11 for 43 yards and two interceptions in the first half.

When Carr entered the game, it was much to the delight of fans that gave a big cheer for Carr. Carr delivered with a 5 for 8 performance for 47 yards, and the Wolverines were much more fluid the rest of the way.

After an option touchdown in the fourth quarter, the Michigan crowd chanted 'Tom-my!' as he came off the field.

After a bye week next week, Penn State (3-4 overall, 0-4 in the Big Ten) hosts Purdue on Oct. 31. A kickoff time and television has yet to be announced.
