Penn State Lady Lions fall to No. 12 Michigan State
UNIVERSITY PARK — Grace VanSlooten recorded her fifth double-double of the season, Jalyn Brown scored 16 points and Rashunda Jones added 14 in No. 12 Michigan State’s come-from-behind 81-70 win over Penn State on Saturday afternoon.
VanSlooten was the leading scorer for the Spartans (20-4, 9-4 Big Ten), with 20 points and 14 rebounds. She shot 9 of 18 from the field. Kennedy Blair added 12 points.
Kiyomi McMiller scored a career-high 37 points for Penn State (8-16, 1-12). Freshman Tea Cleante added 10 points.
Penn State visits No. 22 Maryland on Thursday.

Ashley Buragas led Le Moyne with 23 points and eight rebounds. Sonia Sato scored 13 points for Saint Francis, and Gemma Walker added 11 points.

Wilt shines
The Penn State Altoona women’s basketball team handed La Roche its first loss in AMCC play with a 61-54 win at Adler Arena on Saturday.
Altoona Area High School grad Lanie Wilt led the way with 30 points, and Avana Sayles scored 11 and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Penn State Altoona, which hosts Mount Aloysius on Wednesday, improved to 15-6 overall and 10-2 in the conference, while La Roche fell to 12-10 overall and 12-1 in the AMCC.
