COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Penn State wrestling team hammered Maryland, 42-6, in Big Ten road action on Sunday.
Penn State (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) tallied four pins.
At 125, PSU's Braeden Davis earned a technical fall over Maryland's Tommy Capul, but Baylor Shunk dropped an 8-3 decision to Maryland's Braxton Brown.
At 141, Beau Bartlett dominated No. 17 Kal Miller with an 11-1 major decision, but Connor Pierce then dropped a 5-0 decision to Ethan Miller.
At 157, PSU's Levi Haines rolled to a 15-0 technichal fall over Michael North to give the Lions a 14-6 edge.
PSU's Mitchell Mesenbrink, ranked No. 7 at 165, pinned Ryan Money in 50 seconds, and senior Carter Starocci, ranked No. 1 at 174, followed with a pin in 4:26 over Mason Stein.
Bernie Truax, ranked No. 5 at 184, continued Penn State's pin parade against Chase Mielnik in 1:43, and Aaron Brooks, ranked No. 1 at 197, dominated No. 5 Jaxon Smith for a 13-4 major decision.
Senior Greg Kerkvliet, ranked No. 1 at 285, capped off the meet by pinning Maryland's Jordan Gabriel in 55 seconds.
