Lady Lions soccer moves on to Rd. 3

UNIVERSITY PARK -- The second-seeded and fifth-ranked Penn State women's soccer team picked up a 2-0 win over the Santa Clara Broncos in the second round of the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship Friday night at Jeffrey Field.

Payton Linehand and Kaitlyn MacBean scored for Penn State, now 15-2-4. The Lady Lions play Sunday against St. Louis, which upset Georgetown, 2-1, Friday.

Penn State advances to its seventh consecutive third-round appearance, tying for the longest active streak in the NCAA with Florida State.
