Notable: Penn State starts off the new year against the Badgers, who come into tonight's dual ranked 11th by InterMat. Wisconsin had their lone loss back on Nov. 5. They fell to then 14th-ranked Iowa State, 26-6, but they did rebound nicely after that with a 19-13 win over No. 7 Cornell. … Wisconsin has eight of the 10 weight classes filled with ranked wrestlers, including No. 2 ranked Austin Gomez at 149 pounds. Gomez placed fourth at last year's NCAA Championships. … Penn State has been on a break the last two weeks over the holidays, and they won't wrestle again for another two weeks when Michigan comes to State College on Jan. 20. That will be the first of two dual meets in the Bryce Jordan Center this season.
