UNIVERSITY PARK -- In a game that featured multiple big runs by both teams, the Penn State women's basketball team fell 78-72 against Northwestern on Sunday in the Bryce Jordan Center.
The Wildcats recorded the final big run of the game, a 17-2 stretch in the fourth quarter, to earn the victory. Penn State is now 9-13 overall and 3-9 in Big Ten play, while Northwestern is 13-8 overall and 5-5 in conference matchups.
Makenna Marisa led Penn State with 25 points.

PSU Altoona women fall late
Tyrone graduate Alexis Cannistraci led Penn State Altoona's women's basketball team with 17 points and six assists, and she also had seven rebounds, two steals, and one block, but Alfred State rallied in the fourth quarter to come away with a 76-70 victory on Saturday at the Adler Arena.
Ellie Matthews contributed 14 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

SELINSGROVE -- The Juniata women's basketball team lost on the road to Susquehanna Saturday afternoon, falling 60-47.
The Eagles' scoring was led by Haily Sherman, who had 15 points. Kynnedy Miller, a Huntingdon graduate, added 12 points. Senior Cassie Mock, a Central graduate, led the team in rebounds with eight.
