McKenna’s goal lifts Penn State men’s ice hockey over Arizona State

TEMPE, Ariz. — Freshman Gavin McKenna netted the game-winning goal on the power play late in the third period as the No. 5 Penn State men’s ice hockey team used four unanswered third period goals for the second-straight night to down No. 14 Arizona State, 4-2, and complete the weekend sweep of the Sun Devils on Saturday night.

PSU won, 6-3, late Friday night.

Curve applications

Altoona Curve Charities, a 501c3 organization devoted to supporting local youth programs and organizations, announced that Grant Applications for the 2025 Grant Program are available now to area non-profits that promote healthy living for the betterment of youth and community.

Organizations looking to participate in the Grant Program are encouraged to submit their application between now and Wednesday, Dec. 10 and must be submitted through the online form. There is a request limit of $5,000 for all organizations.
