Former Penn State wide receiver Julian Fleming was charged Wednesday in Bradford County with multiple criminal counts for his role in the May 23 death of his girlfriend.

Fleming, 24, was charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, homicide by vehicle, and homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence in Towanda, Pa.

Fleming was driving an ATV carrying girlfriend Alyssa Boyd when a deer entered the road, according to court documents. Boyd, 23, was killed on impact.

Neither Fleming nor Boyd was wearing safety equipment, the report said. Court documents state that Fleming registered a blood-alcohol content of .118 after the fatal crash, which also left the wide receiver injured.

Fleming played for Nittany Lions in 2024 after transferring to PSU from Ohio State.
