PSU Altoona picks up first victory

WILLIAMSPORT -- The Penn State Altoona women's basketball team picked up its first win of the season, beating Lycoming College, 60-49, Wednesday night.

Penn State Altoona (1-2) overcame an eight-point deficit at the end of the first, outscoring Lycoming (0-1) by 12 points in the second quarter to take a halftime lead. The Lions used a 22-10 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.

The Lady Lions' Jordan Bisignani led all players in the game with 19 points. Teammate Madison Rusnica added 17 points, and Avana Sayles added 14 points.

Penn State Altoona is at Penn State Beaver Friday.
