Hoopers out of TBT event
HOUSTON -- The Happy Valley Hoopers were eliminated from The Basketball Tournament Tuesday night, thanks to an 85-71 loss to Eberlein Drive in Houston. The Hoopers are made up of Penn State alumni.
Myreon Jones and Sam Sessoms led the Hoopers with 16 points each. Curtis Jones added 13 to go with 12 from Greg Lee.
Elsewhere in PSU:
n Penn State junior defensive end Abdul Carter and offensive lineman Sal Wormley were named to watch lists on Tuesday. Carter was named to the Bronco Nagurski Trophy watch list, given to the country's defensive player in college football. Wormley ws named to the Outland Trophy watch list, given to the country's best interior lineman, defense or offense.
