Happy Valley plays tonight
The Happy Valley Hoopers will play in the quarterfinals of The Basketball Tournament tonight in Houston.
Happy Valley, a team made up of Penn State alumni, will take on Eberlein Drive at 7 p.m. The game will air live on Fox Sports 1. If Happy Valley wins, it will take on the winner of the 9 p.m. game between Forever Coogs (Houston alumni) and Team Colorado.
The semifinals are in Philadelphia this Friday at 7 and 9 p.m. The finals are in Philadelphia Sunday at 2 p.m.
Happy Valley qualified for tonight's game by beating The Zoo Crew, a team of Pitt alumni. Sam Sessoms, Greg Lee and Curtis Jones led the Hoopers with 27, 23 and 17 points, respectively.
Elsewhere:
n PSU quarterback Drew Allar and running back Nicholas Singleton were selected for the Maxwell Award Watch List on Monday. The award, started in 1937, is given to the oustanding college football player each season.
