UNIVERSITY PARK -- Penn State is losing its special teams coordinator.
Multiple media outlets are reporting that Stacy Collins is leaving to join Boise State's staff.
Collins, who spent two years at PSU, is expected to coach special teams and linebackers at Boise, where he coached prior to joining the Nittany Lions' staff.
Collins' departure means James Franklin will be replacing its third coordinator in the past two months.
Offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich was fired in November and replaced by Andy Kotelnicki, and defensive coordinator Manny Diaz left to become Duke's head coach. Diaz was replaced by Tom Allen.
An Oregon native, Collins spent the majority of his coaching career on the west coast.
Penn State on Thursday night also confirmed the addition of six players arriving through the transfer portal.
They include receiver Julian Fleming (Ohio State), defensive back A.J. Harris (Georgia), defensive back Jalen Kimber (Florida), defensive lineman Jordan Mayer (Wisconsin), kicker Chase Meyer (Tulsa) and offensive lineman Nolan Rucci (Wisconsin).
Fleming, whose transfer was previously reported, is a Pennsylvania native (Southern Columbia High School) along with Rucci, a Lititz product, whose dad, Todd, is a former Nittany Lion guard.
