LORETTO -- Aaron "Ace" Talbert, a member of the Saint Francis men's basketball team, became the third Red Flash freshman to earn Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week honors for the week of Dec. 11-17.
Talbert joins Bobby Rosenberger III and Eli Wilborn as winners of the award this season. It is the first time in program history the Frankies have had three different players win the top rookie weekly award in the same campaign.
Talbert posted his second most points in his career with his 16-point effort against Mount St. Mary's on Friday.
PSU picked first
UNIVERSITY PARK -- The Penn State men's volleyball team was picked first in the EIVA Preseason Coaches Poll released on Monday.
Princeton was picked second. Rounding out the poll in third through sixth were George Mason, NJIT, Charleston (W.Va.), and Harvard.
