PSU guard in portal again

Penn State guard Izaiah Brockington, a member of the men’s basketball team, re-entered the NCAA transfer portal on Thursday, according to several media reports.

As a junior during the Nittany Lions’ 2020-21 season, Brockington averaged 12.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 29.7 minutes over 25 games (24 starts).

The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder first made a portal entry back on March 16. He ended up withdrawing his name after talking with Micah Shrewsberry, the new head coach.

Brockington came to Penn State after transferring out of Saint Bonaventure aft the end of the 2017-2018 season.

In his first season with the Nittany Lions — 2019-20 — Brockington was PSU’s sixth man, averaging 8.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in 20.8 minutes over 31 games. He sat out his 2018-19 season after transferring from the Bonnies’
