From Mirror reports The Pittsburgh Steelers officially declined the fifth-year option for quarterback Justin Fields ahead of Thursday’s deadline, according to several media reports. He, along with 2021 first-round pick running back Najee Harris, will hit free agency in 2025, unless an extension, trade or unexpected use of the franchise tag comes to fruition. The fifth-year option would have paid Fields $25,664,000 in the 2025 season.
