According to several media outlets, including ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Steelers plan to hire Pittsburgh native Mike McCarthy as their next head coach.

McCarthy would replace Mike Tomlin, who stepped down after spending 19 seasons with the Steelers.

McCarthy won a Super Bowl title as head coach of the Green Bay Packers, beating the Steelers in 2011. Aaron Rodgers was the quarterback on that Packers team.

McCarthy most recently was the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys for five seasons.

Starting at $2.99/week.
