SARASOTA, Fla. -- The Baltimore Orioles scored all five of its runs in the first three innings of play Thursday en route to a 5-2 win over Pittsburgh in a Grapefruit League game.
Cam Sanders, Gregory Soto and Mike Clevinger combined to give up all five runs. Hunter Barco did come in and toss two scoreless innings in relief, lowering his spring earned-run average to 2.89. Teammate Joe La Sorsa also added a scoreless inning of work.
Bryan Reynolds had two hits and an RBI for Pittsburgh (16-10).
Pittsburgh will take on Atlanta tonight at 6:05. Yohan Ramirez will start for the Pirates. In another game, Pittsburgh's prospects will take on the Tigers' prospects in a game that will air live on SportsNet Pittsburgh at 7:35 p.m.
In other news, the Pirates optioned catcher/first baseman Endy Rodriguez to Triple-A Indianapolis.
