Pirates score early, often in win over Twins

BRADENTON, Fla. — The Pittsburgh Pirates scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and then won it with a two-run homer in the eighth to beat the Minnesota Twins, 6-4, in spring training action on Thursday.
Spencer Horwitz belted an RBI double in the first inning and added a run-scoring single in the fourth.
Shawn Ross won the game with a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth to break a 4-4 tie.
Oneil Cruz went 2-for-2, and Nick Gonzales went 2-for-3 for the Pirates.
