The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Monday the following 13 players will attend Major League Baseball camp as non-roster invitees.
Pitchers and catchers can report on Saturday, Feb. 10, and the rest of the team will follow suit. The first scheduled exhibition games will begin on Thursday, Feb. 20.
Players coming into camjp for the Pirates include:
n Abrahan Gutierrez (C) Hit a combined .241 (45-for-187) with 10 doubles, one triple and 21 RBI in 49 games last season between Double-A Altoona, the Florida Complex League Pirates (rehab) and Low-A Bradenton (rehab)..
n Carson Fulmer (RHP) Went 0-5 with a 4.15 ERA (86.2ip/40er), 81 strikeouts and .246 batting average against in 37 appearances (eight starts) last year with the Los Angeles Angels.
n Darick Hall (INF) - Spent 2024 with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he ranked third among all Phillies minor leaguers in RBI (72) and tied for fourth in home runs (16).
Bryce Johnson (OF)Began the 2024 season with El Paso (Padres' AAA), where he hit .288 (75-for-260) with 15 doubles, five triples, four home runs, 34 RBI and 20 stolen bases.
n Isaac Mattson (RHP)Went 7-2 with four saves, a 3.17 ERA (71.0ip/29r/25er) and 89 strikeouts in 37 minor league games (three starts) in 2024 between Altoona and Indianapolis.
n Malcom Nunez (INF) Spent all of 2024 with Indianapolis where he hit .250 (117-for-468) with 21 doubles, 11 home runs and 65 RBI in 128 games.
n Tanner Rainey (RHP) Went 0-0 with a 4.76 ERA (51.0ip/27er) in 50 relief appearances last year with the Nationals. He lowered his ERA to 2.84 over his final 37 appearances, however.
n Yohan Ramirez (RHP) Has gone 6-9 with seven saves, a 4.58 ERA (169.0ip/86er) and 173 strikeouts in 140 relief apperances in his big league career with eight teams over five seasons.
n Yerry Rodriguez (RHP) Went a combined 1-4 with a 4.50 ERA (20.0ip/10er) in 17 appearances at the Triple-A level between 3A Round Rock and Buffalo last year.
n Burch Smith (RHP) Went a combined 4-1 with a 4.95 ERA (56.1ip/31er) and 46 strikeouts in 50 appearances last year between Miami and Baltimore.
n Nick Solak (INF) Hit .311 (92-for-296) with 13 doubles, nine home runs and 53 RBI in 90 games last season with Triple-A Tacoma.
Hunter Stratton (RHP) Has gone 2-1 with a 3.26 ERA (49.2ip/18er) and .245 batting average against in 44 relief appearances in his career with the Pirates since being selected by Pittsburgh in the 16th round of the 2017 draft.
n Eddy Yean (RHP) Went 7-5 with five saves, a 3.36 ERA (75.0ip/28er) and 69 strikeouts in 48 relief appearances last year between Altoona and Indianapolis (his 48 appearances were tied for the second-most among Pirates minor leaguers).
