Portage’s Miko lifts Mainline

JOHNSTOWN — Portage’s Andrew Miko delivered the big hit in helping Mainline Pharmacy capture the Johnstown AAABA League championship on Sunday night at Point Stadium. With his team down 2-0, Miko belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning and Mainline went on to beat rival Martella’s, 3-2, and win the championship series 3-2. Miko finished 3-for-3 in the game. Chase Williamson (six innings) and Bryce Maddeon (three innings) combined on a four-hitter. Both teams will compete in the AAABA National Tournament.
