Trinity Rodman has returned to the U.S. women’s team for its annual January training camp and a pair of matches against Paraguay and Chile.
She has not been on a U.S. roster since last April because of injuries. She joins a group of 26 made up of National Women’s Soccer League players because the camp is being held outside a FIFA competition window and European players are currently in season.
Rodman, who has played for the Washington Spirit for the past five seasons, has 47 appearances and 11 goals with the national team, more than any other player on the roster. She played in one match last year, a 2-0 victory over Brazil.
The United States plays Chile in Santa Barbara, California, on Jan. 27.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman is making changes to his defensive coaching staff less than two weeks after he decided to return to the Fighting Irish.
Freeman announced Wednesday that Al Washington will remain Notre Dame’s defensive run game coordinator but will be coaching the linebackers next season after working with defensive linemen last year.
On Thursday, he announced the hiring of Charlie Partridge as the new defensive line coach. Partridge spent the previous two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. His most recent college experience came at Pittsburgh where he worked as assistant head coach/defensive line coach from 2018-23. He also worked for the Panthers as the defensive line coach in 2017.
