FIFA Pass set for foreigners

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump announced “FIFA Pass,” which will allow foreigners with World Cup tickets to get expedited visa appointments.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino explained the system with Trump on Monday, saying that the U.S. wants to welcome the world for the global soccer tournament.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said more than 400 consular officers have been dispatched to handle visa demand, and the U.S. president encouraged World Cup travelers to apply for their visas “right away.”
UCLA’s QB day to day
LOS ANGELES — UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava is day to day with a concussion that kept him out of the Bruins’ loss to No. 1 Ohio State.
Interim coach Tim Skipper said Iamaleava’s status depends on his treatment and testing. Iamaleava was injured in a loss to Nebraska on Nov. 8 and symptoms appeared later.
The Bruins host Washington on Saturday.
