Ladies excel at Summit Country Club

CRESSON — The team of Kim Johnson, Lauren Graham, Brenda Sekerak and Jan Kelleher shot a 35 to win first place in the first week of the second half of the Ladies League season at Summit Country Club. It was a scramble format. Kelli Plunkett, Margo Hoover, Kelly Mignogna and Mindy McMahon tied Dorothy Cavalet, Jean Dunmyer and Susan Wilson for second place with a score of 36. Hollidaysburg 14U team keeps hope alive at Little League tourney

NORTHUMBERLAND — Kaylob Ferris-Himes had two hits for Hollidaysburg, and Ty Davis had a two-run single in a 10-3 victory over Shikellamy at Pineknotter Park in the Pa.
