Game notes: Coach Bill Belichick's team has lost two in a row (Clemson and Notre Dame) after opening the season 2-0 with wins over TCU and East Tennessee State. ... Pitt fans will get to watch the starting debut of quarterback Holden Geriner, who takes over for the injured Mason Heintschel, lost for the season with a knee injury. In the upset win at Virginia Tech last week, Geriner was 8-of-12 for 78 yards and a touchdown, but more importantly, no picks. His 29-yard scoring pass to Cataurus Hicks was the winning touchdown. In limited play, he is 19-of-26 for 219 yards and two scores. ... Pitt is undefeated along with two other ACC schools, Miami and Duke. ...
