MARTINSBURG -- Williamsburg's Tanner Ross and April Isenberg were the big winners in a meet with Northern Bedford and Central on Wednesday afternoon in high school cross country action.
Ross won the boys race in 18:53 while Isenberg finished first in the girls race in 24:13.
Williamsburg's boys beat Central (15-50) but lost 17-19 to Northern Bedford. Chas Corle was NBC's top runner, taking second in 19:27. Josh Walter finished fifth for Central in 24:06.
For the girls, Williamsburg took the top four spots. NBC's Lilly Miller was fifth (27:30).

Eagles teams triumph
ALEXANDRIA -- Tyrone's boys and girls teams defeated Juniata Valley, with the boys winning 17-42 and the girls 20-43.
However, Maggie Barton of JV won the girls race in 22:09. Tyrone's Sage Harbst was second (24:19).
For the boys, Jonah Wicker of Tyrone won in 19:42. JV's top runner, Alan Hershey, was fourth (23:10).

Westover prevails
PORTAGE -- Portage's Nolan Westover won the boys race in 19:32, and Penn Cambria's Lily Hallinan won the girls race in 23:44 in a meet that neither team had enough runners to score as a team dual.

CC dominates
WINDBER -- Reed Takacs led the way for the Central Cambria boys as the individual winner with a time of 18:11.4 as the Red Devils defeated Johnstown Christian, 19-42, Windber, 15-50, Somerset Christian, 15-50, Ferndale, 15-48, and Cambria Heights, 15-48.
Mason Kline had Heights' best time of 20:05.2 and helped the Highlanders beat Windber, 26-29, Somerset Christian, 15-46, and Ferndale, 19-42. Heights also lost to Johnstown Christian, 25-30.
On the girls side, Paige Alexander led Central Cambria to wins over Johnstown Christian, 15-50, Ferndale, 15-50, Somerset Christian, 15-50, Cambria Heights, 15-50, and Windber, 15-49, with a winning time of 22:51.5. Delaney Snyder was right behind her with a time of 22:52.9. Central Cambria took the first six spots and nine of the top 10.
Cambria Heights beat Somerset Christian, 15-45, Johnstown Christian, 15-45, and Ferndale, 15-43. The Lady Highlanders also lost to Windber, 20-41.
