Lady Bulldogs volleyball keeps on winning

CLAYSBURG -- Claysburg-Kimmel's successful season continued on Tuesday night with a 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-13 victory over Northern Bedford in high school girls volleyball action.

Claysburg, which received nine kills each from Caroline Bass and Reannah Wood, and eight from Caitlyn Imler, improved its record to 10-1. Imler also had 26 assists, and Kaitlyn Mortimore delivered 16 digs.

Amberly Detterline collected 13 kills and two blocks for Northern Bedford, Callie Miller had 23 assists, and Grace Dainty had 16 digs.

WINDBER -- Windber defeated Glendale, 25-12, 25-11, 25-8.

Mustangs come back

PORTAGE -- Portage defeated Homer Center 23-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-14.

The Lady Mustangs got 29 assists and 13 service points from Mya Selepack to go with 17 digs from Kylie Hess and 11 kills from Bridge Semanchik. Selapack and Kiera McCarty each added seven aces.

Heights falls

PATTON -- Cambria Heights fell to 2-8 with a 25-22, 25-23, 25-22 loss to Penns Manor.

The Lady Highlanders got nine service points, including six aces, from Claire Nihart to go with six kills from Julia Karlheim.

Teammate Elena Eckenrode added seve service points.

Jocelyn Ciampoli collected 17 kills and eight digs for Tyrone, Lola Woomer had eight kills and five blocks, Ally Ettaro had 15 assists and 10 service points, and Lily Rossman added eight digs.

Penn Cambria toppled

CRESSON -- Westmont Hilltop defeated Penn Cambria, 3-2.

The Lady Panthers got 32 assists and 17 service points from Maddy Kittell, and 14 kills and 16 service points from Kate Eckenrode.

Teammate Ellie Marshall added 16 service points to go with 12 service points from Eva Packer.
