Central Mountain teammates Addison Lindsay and Lucy Walker have advanced to face each other in today's District 6 Class 2A singles girls tennis championship at Mansion Park.
Taryn Ream of Central Cambria made it through to the semifinals after beating Julia Vittone of Bishop McCort in the quarterfinals (6-1, 6-2) before falling to Walker in the semis by scores of 6-0, 6-3.
Lindsay defeated Lilly Evans of Westmont Hilltop by identical 6-0 scores in her semifinal match.
Jocelyn Diehl of Tyrone moved into quarterfinal action with a win over Bella Chappie of McCort (6-3, 6-1) before losing to Lindsay in 6-0, 6-0 scores, while Central's Breslyn Beech also got to the quarters by defeating Rachel Boonie of Huntingdon, 6-0 and 6-0.

Baker shines for AAHS
Natalie Baker claimed medalist honors for Altoona by shooting a 51 in a 155-179 win over Bedford in high school girls golf.
The victory improved the Lady Lions to 6-4.

BEDFORD (179): Richey 55, Leibfreid 57, Brown 67.
