PITTSBURGH -- Pitt's Oct. 10 home game against North Carolina will kick off at noon and be nationally televised on ESPN or ESPN2, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced earlier today.
The Tar Heels will make their first trip to Pitt since October of 2023.
The Panthers will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their 1976 national championship team on Oct. 10.
In other team news, quarterback Mason Heintschel and receiver Demetrice McCray won Atlantic Coast Conference honors on Monday for their showing in a 59-0 win over Bucknell this past weekend.
Heintschel was 29-of-37 for 403 yards and six touchdown passes. McCray caught three passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
The Panthers are at Virginia Tech this Friday night.
