BEDFORD -- Reuben Manfred set a new course record at the Bedford County Vo-Tech course in leading the Hollidaysburg Area High School boys cross country team to victory on Wednesday.
Manfred finished in a time of 17 minutes, 1.60 seconds to place first ahead of teammates Mason Kephart (17:59.60), Jack Singer (18:15.90) and Mason Klock (18:34.30). Hollidaysburg beat Bedford, 16-46, and Central, 15-50.
The Hollidaysburg girls also beat Bedford, 15-49, and Central, 15-50, while the Bedford girls defeated Central, 15-50.
Freshman Julia Van Kleunaen led the Lady Tigers with a first-place finish in 21:21.60 and was followed by teammates Sophia Fiore, Addison Smith, Kaitlyn Etters, Anna Hileman and Emily Zenobia.

BELLEFONTE -- The Bellwood-Antis girls topped host Bellefonte, 19-36, and Chestnut Ridge, 22-35, but fell to Richland, 21-38, in a quad meet.
The Lady Blue Devils' top finishers were Blake Pennington (third) and Julie Kraft (fourth). Richland also beat Ridge, 15-48, and Bellefonte, 16-43, and Bellefonte topped Ridge, 22-35.
In the boys meet, Bellwood defeated Ridge, 17-44, and lost to Richland, 15-49, and Bellefonte, 16-45. Richland also beat Ridge, 15-50, and Bellefonte, 25-34, and Bellefonte beat Ridge, 15-50.

CLEARFIELD -- The Central Cambria boys and girls each went 3-0 in a quad meet.
The CC boys topped Clearfield, 15-50, Penns Valley, 18-45, and Westmont Hilltop, 15-50, and the CC girls beat Clearfield, 20-43, PV, 15-50, and WH, 15-50.
JR HIGH BOYS: Central Cambria 9, Clearfield 12; Central Cambria 15, Penns Valley 50; Central Cambria 6, Westmont Hilltop 15.

LOYSBURG -- The Northern Bedford boys and Williamsburg girls each went 3-0 in a meet that involved six teams.
Christopher Corle's third-place finish led the Northern Bedford boys. Tanner Ross was the runner-up as the Williamsburg boys went 1-2 for the day.
Ava Dixon, Avril Isenberg and Emma Stone finished third-fourth-fifth to lead the Williamsburg girls. The Northern Bedford girls went 2-0-1 with Lily Miller placing seventh.

WINDBER -- Maggie Barton placed first in the girls race for Juniata Valley in a quad meet.
The JV girls lost to Windber, 20-41, and Southern Fulton, 6-15, and the JV boys fell to Windber, 26-33, Southern Fulton, 17-45, and Salisbury-Elk Lick, 8-13.

PORTAGE -- The Portage girls defeated River Valley, 24-33, and lost to unbeaten Marion Center, 18-41.
Josephine White finished in fourth place in the quad meet that also included Ferndale. The Marion Center girls beat River Valley, 16-43.
The Portage boys lost to River Valley, 17-40, and Marion Center, 17-46, while the RV boys topped Marion Center, 24-31.

Kline leads Heights
PATTON -- Mason Kline's first-place finish led the Cambria Heights boys to victories over Penns Manor (20-38) and Purchase Line (21-37).
The Highlanders' Logan Paronish finished second behind Kline.
Cambria Heights' Sierra Hoover won the girls race as the Lady Highlanders beat Penns Manor, 22-36, but fell to Purchase Line, 22-34.
Purchase Line beat Penns Manor in the boys (18-18 on a tiebreaker) and girls (17-41).
