HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Hollidaysburg girls tennis team improved to 13-0 Friday, thanks to a 5-0 win over Central in high school play.
The Lady Tigers earned singles victories from Grace Muriceak, Crosby Denis and Rina Stiffler, while the doubles teams of Emma Moritz-Olivia Panaro, and Taylor Eardley-Sandy Zheng, also won.
Hollidaysburg also honored its six seniors Friday: Denis, Muriceak, Moritz, Panaro, Eardley and Zheng.
SINGLES: 1, Muriceak, H, def. Beech, 6-0, 6-0; 2, Denis, H, def. Walters, 6-0, 6-0; 3, Stiffler, H, def. Weidlich, 6-0, 6-0.

Lady Lions roll
HARRISBURG -- The Altoona girls tennis team improved to 8-3 with a 5-0 win over Central Dauphin East.
The Lady Lions got singles wins from Skylar Irwin, Andie Adams and Ava Williams to go with doubles victories by Emma Hovan-Adalia Lopez-Oakes and Addison Mitchell-Erika Irwin.

C-K milestone
CLAYSBURG -- Kaitlyn Mortimore hit a milestone for the Claysburg-Kimmel volleyball team Thursday night.
In a win over Southern Huntingdon, Mortimore finished with 20 digs against the Lady Rockets. That helped her surpass the 500 digs milestone in her career.
The Lady Bulldogs are 8-1 this season.
