PATTON -- The Cambria Heights High School boys soccer team improved to 6-3-2 Thursday, thanks to a 5-1 win over Richland.
Nate Conaway scored four goals for Heights, up 3-0 at halftime. Teammate Nate McConnell added three assists.

Kurty sparks GCS
Great Commission School scored three goals in the first half and then held off Blair County Christian, 3-2, at Penn State Altoona's Spring Run Stadium.
Great Commission senior Aaron Kurty scored two goals on senior night, and Wesley Hicks also scored a goal.

TYRONE -- Central and Tyrone played to a 1-1 tie in high school girls soccer action.
Addison Long scored for Central, and Jayden Himes scored for Tyrone. Tyrone keeper Pyper Sparklin recorded eight saves.

Rakar leads CC to victory
NEW PARIS -- Emerson Rakar scored two goals late in the first half and assisted on one in the second half to help Central Cambria beat Chestnut Ridge, 5-2.
Ainslie Illig had a goal and assist for the Lady Devils, and Mandi Cavazza and Hallie Amenti each added a goal. Delayna Hess scored both of Ridge's goals.

Heights shuts out Township
PATTON -- Cambria Heights is 7-2 after its 1-0 win at home over Conemaugh Township, which came into the game 7-0.
The only goal came courtesy of Mele Lavelua, off a Claire North-Smyers pass, in the first half. Keeper Emma Gilbey finished with 11 saves in getting the shutout.

Northern Bedford romps
WARFORDSBURG -- Hannah Yeatts had a hand in all five goals as Northern Bedford routed Southern Fulton, 5-0.
Yeatts finished with two goals and three assists, and Kaylee Barton contributed two goals. Keeper Blaire Gable earned the shutout.
The Lady Panthers improved to 3-5.
